Mark Your Calendar for Pink in the Park 2017

Our 11th Annual Pink in the Park is just a few months away, and we couldn’t be more excited. Please mark your calendar for Thursday, September 28 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM to help us bring friends, family members, coworkers and neighbors together to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Triad. You may also join this free event on Facebook. With a new, larger location at LeBauer Park in downtown Greensboro, there is much to look forward to this year.

Each year, we gather at Pink in the Park to celebrate, honor and remember the many lives that have been touched by breast cancer. The ribbon wall at Pink in the Park is a physical manifestation of the love we have for those strong women who have fought the disease. With a diagnosis rate of one in every eight women, many of us know someone who has been affected. This free event is a time to celebrate the progress being made to defeat breast cancer and bring awareness to our community.

We look forward to a variety of activities and vendors at this year’s event. We are fortunate to have the support of vendors from across the Triad who provide educational resources and fun products and help make Pink in the Park special. Ghassan’s Restaurant and nOma Food & Company will be open in LeBauer Park during the event, but you are also welcome to bring your own lunch if you choose. WFMY’s Maddie Gardner will be our emcee, announcing door prize winners throughout the event.

We are always touched and inspired by breast cancer survivors who choose to share their stories and their strength with us, and we will hold a moment of silence for those who have lost their battle against the disease.
